MHP has designed a variety of calibration packs that will eliminate the need to use hydraulic or pneumatic hand pumps when field calibrating industrial instrumentation. These packs use a built in nitrogen cylinder which provides a portable pressure source for field calibrating instruments. This 68 cubic inch nitrogen cylinder is rated for 4500 psi and can easily be refilled while in the case or can simply be removed to refill in the shop. Although these packs were designed for field use up to 4500 psi, they can also be connected to a full size high pressure nitrogen bottle for calibrating instruments up to 6000 psi.
The single regulator pack, called the Lo-Pac, can be built with your choice of a 1000, 3000, or 6000 psi regulator, depending on your needs. A dual regulator pack, called the Hi-Pac, is built with a 6000 psi regulator which can be used for calibrating instruments in the upper range and a 1000 psi regulator which delivers more precise pressure control for devices in the lower range. Each pack also contains a fine adjustment cylinder. This fine adjustment will maintain a pressure source to .05% accuracy or better. Each pack has the capibility to calibrate instruments up to 60 inches of water by using only the fine adjustment cylinder.
All high pressure calibration packs are contained in a durable, watertight case made by Pelican. All packs are built with Swagelok fittings and valves, Ashcroft gauges, and all workmanship comes with a 1 year warranty.
The N2-Pac was designed to provide a more efficient use of the nitrogen source by valving one cylinder in at a time. When connected to a Lo-Pac or a Hi-Pac, one cylinder can be used to calibrate higher pressure instruments only. The second cylinder can be used to calibrate lower pressure instruments only. This will maximize the field use of the higher pressure cylinder. Another benefit of using the N2-Pac is that the built in nitrogen cylinder of the Lo-Pac or the Hi-Pac can be removed providing a storage space for additional field equipment such as hoses, fittings, or calibration instruments.
